Product description

Early 1940's linen postcard showing the Hotel Frederick on 4th Avenue at 10th Street in Huntington, West Virginia.

The 150 room neoclassical style luxury hotel was built in 1906 and over the years hosted such guests as President Richard Nixon, Bob Hope, and Liberace.  The hotel closed in 1973 and today the building is mixed use apartments/offices/retail space.  The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1986.

The card is a C.T. Art-Colortone card made by Curteich-Chicago, and printed in the U.S.A.

The card is unused and in very good condition. It has three tiny pinholes in the white border from where it was tacked to a bulletin board, and very minor wear on the top right corner tip edge (see photos).
