Vintage 10-strike matchbook cover (no matches) from the 1950's advertising the 300 room Hotel Linden which was located at 317 N. Illinois St at the corner of New York in Indianapolis, Indiana.
The front cover has the hotel name and logo and says "Illinois at New York, Indianapolis, Coffee Shop - Grille". The strike side has the name and logo and says "convenient location, parking facilities".
The inside of the matchbook says "300 Modern Rooms, from $1.25 with running water, from $1.50 with bath".
The matchbook is a ten-strike matchbook made in the USA by Universal Match Corp St. Louis / New York.
The matchbook cover is empty and there are no matches, the strike pad appears to be unused. The matchbook is in overall very good condition (see photos).
