Vintage 10-strike matchbook cover (no matches) from the early 1980's advertising the Howard Johnson's Conference Center and the Red Coach Grill restaurant which were located on I-91 at Centre St in Windsor Locks Connecticut near Hartford's Bradley International Airport.
The 170 room Howard Johnson's hotel and conference center also included two restaurants: Howard Johnson's and the upscale Red Coach Grill. The hotel opened in 1973, and it was sold and changed its name in 1991.
The front cover has the iconic Howard Johnson's logo and name, and the strike side cover has the Red Coach Grill name and logo. The inside of the cover lists the features of the hotel (conference center, restaurants, indoor swimming pool, live entertainment) and the address.
The matchbook cover is empty and there are no matches, the strike pad appears to be unused. The matchbook is in very good condition (see photos).
