Lesney Matchbox No 61, diecast metal white Alvis Stalwart BP Exploration truck with green tinted windows, yellow removable plastic cargo bed canopy, 'BP Exploration' decals on the sides, smooth cargo bed, and 6 removable black tires on 3 axles with green wheel hubs.
This is the rarer first version with a smooth cargo bed (all later versions had a ribbed cargo bed).
Made in England, 1966. The truck is 2 5/8 inches long / 67mm, 1/64 scale.
The British Petroleum truck is in very good condition overall. It has a child's initials written in marker on the bottom, and it has a few very tiny pinpoint sized paint chips on the edges, and some fading of the 'BP' decals due to age (see photos).
