Set of 2 Vintage "Mini Dinky" Dealer Flyer Reprints from the 1990's (Front & Back Views)
A fantastic reference set for the Meccano "Mini Dinky" collector. These are vintage single-sided lithograph reprints (produced in the 1990s for a diecast collector's club) of the rare U.S. market 1968 Mini Dinky introductory promotional tri-fold brochure.
One sheet features the "front/outside" page of the tri-fold featuring the "Free Garage" advertisement and the #30 Volvo P 1800S and the #94 International Bulldozer, and shows the rare "18 More Cars Soon" section which lists several prototypes that were never released! The second sheet features the "back/inside" page of the tri-fold with up close views of 12 of the models including the #11 E-Type Jaguar, #12 Corvette Stingray, #98 Michigan Scraper, #99 Caterpillar Grader, and 8 other models.
Details:
Format: Two separate sheets, printed on one side only (backs are blank) on quality stock paper. The pages measures 9 1/4" x 5 1/4" (235mm x 133mm).
Type: These are high-quality vintage commercial offset press lithograph reprints from the 1990's, NOT the original 1968 folded brochure.
Note: You can see faint "ghost lines" in the print from where the original source brochure was folded, but these sheets lie perfectly flat.
Display: Because they are single-sided, they are perfect for framing side-by-side to display the full front and back graphics simultaneously—something you can't do with the original brochure!
A great addition to any diecast display cabinet or toy room wall.
Condition: The prints are in overall good plus condition with some light wear on some of the lettering and a few small creases where the ink has settled/flaked on the crease (as shown in the up close photo below).
The "front side" sheet has a diagonal crease on the bottom left, a small dogear crease on the bottom right corner, and a slight roll on the right edge. The leaflet with the "back side" images has a crease on the bottom right corner and a slight roll on the right side (see photos).

MiniDinky background: MiniDinky cars had a suspension and many had opening parts. Mini Dinky cars came in a red plastic garage with clear sides and top and an opening door at one end. The cars were made in Hong Kong (and a couple of Formula 1 models were made in the Netherlands) from 1967/68 to the early 1970's.
