The book is from the Basic Readers: Curriculum Foundation Program, and was intended for 2nd graders,2nd level (second half of year). The Basic Readers series was a staple of mid 20th century elementary school classrooms.

The book is in very good condition. It has a small white mark on the back cover and very light signs of wear on the red cloth at the top and bottom edges of the spine, and a name written inside of the front cover.  The inside pages are in very good condition.  See photos.
