Synopsis: The 2009 NCEC 111th Congressional Directory is a reference guide designed to help citizens contact elected officials and follow the activities of the U.S. Congress. Published in February 2009 during the 111th Congress (2009–2012), the booklet provides contact information for congressional offices, including telephone numbers, websites, and recorded information lines for Senate and House legislative activities. It also includes listings of Senate and House leadership and officers, members of Congress, and state congressional delegations.
Additional sections cover a map of Capitol Hill, congressional delegates and the resident commissioner, Senate, House, and joint committees, and the congressional schedule. The guide also provides information on the White House, the Cabinet, the Supreme Court, selected federal agencies, and state governors. The last 11-pages are an excerpt from Brad Fitch's "Citizen's Handbook For Influencing Elected Officials" and offers strategies and guidelines for communicating with, and influencing, elected officials.
Aimed at helping citizens communicate with their representatives and influence elected officials, this historical booklet offers a snapshot of the U.S. government and its resources during the Obama administration's first year.
Condition: The booklet has a dog-ear crease on the front cover's bottom right corner (and also the first 16 pages) but is otherwise in very good condition (see photos).
