The ship was sold to Prince of Fundy Cruises in 1982 and renamed the Scotia Prince.  In 1986 the ship was rebuilt and lengthened by 60 ft.  The ship ended its service with Prince of Fundy Line in 2004.  In 2005 it was chartered to FEMA for 6 months to house the homeless in New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina.  From 2006-2011 it was chartered to various operators for use as a car ferry, and it was scrapped in 2012.
