Product Description

Copper Age comic book: Robotech The Macross Saga, issue #11, May 1986. Published by Comico The Comic Company.

Synopsis: Robotech The Macross Saga issue 11, published by Comico in May 1986, centers on the following events, which adapt the episode "First Contact" from the animated series:

Capture and Interrogation: Rick Hunter, Lisa Hayes, and Ben Dixon are captured and taken aboard a Zentraedi flagship. Max Sterling is also involved in the events, though he manages to make his way back onto the ship after his Battloid is damaged.

The Kiss: During the Zentraedi interrogation, which focuses on the "Micronians" (humans) and how they reproduce, Rick and Lisa are forced to demonstrate the act of kissing. The Zentraedi, who are a race of cloned, giant warriors devoid of culture and emotion like romance, are shocked and disgusted by this display. The concept is highly disturbing and confusing to them.

Protoculture Connection: Supreme Commander Dolza concludes that the shock the Zentraedi experience is a result of protoculture, a mysterious, lost process that the Zentraedi believe is the key to Robotechnology and their own giant warrior status. Dolza becomes even more determined to retrieve the source of protoculture, which he believes is held within the SDF-1.

Minmei's Concern: Meanwhile, back on the SDF-1, Roy Fokker has to deliver the bad news to Minmei that Rick is missing, right before her major singing premiere.

Condition: The comic is in very good condition. The covers have some wear on the colors on and some stress marks near the spine.  The back cover has  some discoloration along the lower spine.  The inside pages are in excellent condition (see photos).
