48-page full color brochure for the September 1982 to December 1983 7,8,10 ,11, and 14-day cruises to the Caribbean and Bermuda aboard the Royal Caribbean Cruise Line ships Song of America, Sun Viking, Song of Norway, and Nordic Prince.
The brochure includes many photos of the ships' interiors and exteriors and ports of call, descriptions of the ships and ports of call, sailing schedules, room rates, stateroom photos and descriptions, deck plans for all four ships, air/sea program info, and general information.
The brochure is in excellent condition.
The Nordic Prince was built in 1971 and sailed with Royal Caribbean until 1995 when it was sold to Sun Cruises and renamed the Carousel. In 2004 it was sold to Louis Cruises and renamed the Aquamarine (with a brief stint as the Arielle). In 2010 it was sold to Ocean Star Cruises and renamed Ocean Star Pacific. The ship was scrapped in 2015.
The Sun Viking was built in 1972 and sailed with Royal Caribbean until 1998 when it was sold to Star Cruises and renamed Superstar Sagittarius. From 1998 to 2022 the ship was based in Asia and had several owners and name changes: Hyundai Pongnae (Hyundai Merchant Marine, 2003), Omar III (Asia Cruises, 2003-2007), Long Jie (2007-2011), Oriental Dragon (2011-2022). The ship was scrapped in 2022.
The Song of Norway was the first ship built for Royal Caribbean in 1970. It was lengthened by 85 feet in 1978. It sailed with RCL until 1997 when it was sold to Sun Cruises and renamed the Sundream (and the sky lounge around the funnel was removed). In 2004 it was sold to Caspi Cruises and renamed the Dream Princess. In 2007 it was chartered to Peace Boat and renamed the Clipper Princess. In 2009 it was sold to International Shipping Partners and renamed Festival, and later Ocean Pearl. It was sold to Asia Star in 2012 and renamed Formosa Queen. In 2013 it was scrapped after 43 years of service.
The Song of America sailed with Royal Caribbean from December 1982 until 1999 when it was sold to Airtours and renamed Sunbird. In 2004 it was sold to Louis Cruise Lines. It was named the Thomson Destiny from 2005-2012, the Louis Olympia from 2012-2014, the Celestyal Olympia from 2014-2023 when it was laid up.
