Synopsis: Sam the Firehouse Cat is a charming true-to-life story about Sam, a cat who makes his home at a California firehouse. Sam becomes part of the firehouse family, growing accustomed to the excitement of roaring fire engines, clanging bells, and blaring sirens. Rather than being frightened by the activity, Sam takes an active interest in the firefighters and their work. The book was written and illustrated by Virginia Parsons and was first published in 1968.

Sam's biggest adventure comes when a fire breaks out at a nearby warehouse. When several other cats are trapped inside, Sam bravely makes his way into the burning building and leads them to safety. The story portrays Sam as a courageous and resourceful member of the firehouse, showing that even a small cat can play an important role in an emergency. The book was reportedly based on a real cat who lived at a California firehouse in the early 1960s.

Condition: The book is in very good condition. The front cover has some wear on the red colored background. The inner pages are in excellent condition with no writing or creases, and the binding is very good (see photos).
