Vintage 10-strike matchbook cover (no matches) from the 1950's advertising Sammy's Drive-in Restaurant and Sammy's Ranch Nite Club on Commerce St at Hiway 77.
The front cover of the matchbook has the Sammy's Ranch logo with Sammy wearing a cowboy hat and says "Sammy's Ranch, South Texas Finest Nite Club, Harlingen Texas" and it has the old style phone number.
The strike side has an illustration of of the restaurant and says "Sammy's Drive-In Bar-B-Q Chicken Shrimp, Commerce St At Hiway 77".
The inside of the matchbook says: "Sammy's Ranch Orchestra Every Sat. Nite, Jam Session Every Sun. 3-7", Fine Charcoal Broiled Steaks", and "Sammy's Drive-In Bar-B-Q Sandwiches and Plates, Fried Chicken, Fried Shrimp, Orders To Go, Phone 4444".
The matchbook cover is in very good condition. It is empty and there are no matches, and the strike pad appears to be unused. (see photos).
