Synopsis: Shari Lewis Stories to Read Aloud is a 1961 Wonder Books collection associated with television entertainer and puppeteer Shari Lewis. The book brings together a selection of short, lighthearted stories intended to be enjoyed aloud by parents and children, with themes centered on friendship, imagination, animals, family, and childhood adventure. Among the stories are “Fluffy Learns Her Business,” “The Master Fiddler,” “Surprise Circus,” “Sherry’s Kitten,” “The Fix-It Boy,” “Little Lost Teddy Bear,” “Oliver’s Big Night,” and “The Happy Alligator.”

Illustrated by Catherine Scholz, the collection uses a mixture of black-and-white and limited-color illustrations to complement the stories. Its connection to The Shari Lewis Show gives it a distinctly early-1960s children's-entertainment feel, while the variety of stories makes it suitable as a bedtime or family read-aloud book.

Condition: The book is in fair to good condition.  The covers have signs of wear and creases on the corners, and the front cover has a two inch tear on the left edge. There is damage to the bottom one inch of the spine (but no loose pages). The inside pages are in very good condition but have yellowing from age (see photos).
