Synopsis: Special 64-page first issue of Smallville The Comic which is based on the 2000's WB network hit TV series Smallville.  This first issue combines comics with articles/interviews with the TV shows stars.

This special issue's articles include "Welcome to Smallville" (background story on Smallville the TV show and comic), interview with actor Michael Rosenbaum who plays Lex Luthor, interview with Tom Welling who plays Clark Kent, interview with actress Kristin Kreuk who plays Lana Lang, and an article that recap season 1 and previews season 2.

The two comics stories expand on the show’s “meteor freak” mythology. In “Raptor,” investigative student Chloe Sullivan digs into strange event in town while a teenager, Greg Fox, is caught in an explosion at one of Lex Luthor’s excavation sites; exposure to kryptonite mutates him into a violent, raptor-like creature, forcing Clark Kent to intervene. The second story, “Exile and the Kingdom,” shifts focus to Lex’s internal conflict as he clashes with his father over corporate decisions at LuthorCorp, ultimately choosing to stand by his workers after confiding in Clark. Together, the stories blend character drama and superpowered threats, reinforcing the series’ themes of moral choices, friendship, and the dangers of kryptonite in Smallville.
