1980's continental sized (6"x4") chrome postcard showing the Space Shuttle Columbia.
With its advanced technology and cutting-edge design, Space Shuttle Columbia revolutionized space exploration and paved the way for groundbreaking scientific discoveries in the 1980's. Built by Rockwell International, Columbia made its first flight in 1981. The shuttle's final flight in 2003 ended in disaster when the shuttle was destroyed after disintegrating on reentry and all 7 astronauts on board died.
