The ship's home port was Port McNicoll Ontario on the Georgian Bay and it sailed the Port Arthur/Ft William (now Thunder Bay) route with CP until 1965. In 1967 it was sold and began a new life as a museum ship in Saugatuck Michigan. In 2012 it was moved to Port McNicoll, and in 2023 it was purchased by the Marine Museum of the Great Lakes and moved to Kingston, Ontario.
