Product Description
Giant sized chrome postcard (approximately 7.5" x 4.5" / 190mm x 114mm) from 1980 issued by Norwegian Caribbean Line showing their new flagship ss Norway (formerly the s/s France). The front side has a photo of the ship and the blurb on the back has some info about the ship.
The postcard is unused. The card has has yellow tape reside triangular marks on all 4 corners from where it was taped to a photo album. (see photos)
The ship was built in 1962 and sailed with French Line as the S/S France from 1962-1974. NCL bought the ship in 1979 and refurbished it and renamed it ss Norway and it sailed with them until 1999 when it was damaged by a fire in the engine room. The ship was sold for scrap in 2003.
