Product Description

3 panel 2-sided 11.5"x8.25" full color cruise brochure for the 1982-1983 7-day Caribbean  cruises from Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic aboard the Sun World Lines Ltd (owned by Peter Deilmann of West Germany) Singapore registered ship ms Regina Maris.

note: the ship did not complete the full '82-'83 cruise schedule in this brochure due to a fire on board in 1982 after which it was laid up in Bermuda and then sold in 1983.

The brochure includes photos and description of the ship's interior and exterior and life aboard the ship, a day by day description of the cruise and ports of call, sailing schedules and itineraries, room rates, deck plans, and general information.

The brochure is in excellent condition.

The 5,813 ton 276 passenger ms Regina Maris was built in 1966 for West Germany's Lubeck Lines and sailed with them until 1976 when it was sold to Canada's Mercator Shipping and renamed Mercator One.  The ship was confiscated from the new owners due to back taxes in 1977 and eventually sold to West Germany's Peter Deilmann in 1979 who operated it from 1980-82 as the Regina Maris under their Sun World Lines brand.  A fire in 1982 forced it out of service and it was laid up in 1982.

The ship was sold in 1983 to Greece's Latsis family owned Madere Ltd who renamed it Alexander and converted it into a private yacht in 1985 (with suites and cabins for 80 guests).  In 2015 it was sold, and its current owner Troy Yachting charters the ship out as a yacht.
