Synopsis: Swamp Thing Vol. 2, Issue #88, titled "Survival of the Fittest", weaves together the past and present. In the present timeline, John Constantine visits the pregnant Abby who is carrying Swamp Thing’s child. Constantine, discovers a clue in an old book referencing the mystical artifact known as the Claw of Aelkhund—which may be responsible for sending Swamp Thing into the past. Meanwhile, Abby learns that the police have dropped their investigation into her over the presumed death of her former husband, Matt Cable.
Back in the prehistoric past, Swamp Thing materializes in a Neanderthal-era South American tribe after a ceremonial seed ritual. The tribe’s shaman, Rheelai, recognizes him as an earth-spirit and shares ancient lore, including the power of the Earth-father Sarga and a sacred chalice Swamp Thing identifies as the Holy Grail. The shaman also possesses a piece of amber that spiritually anchors his people. The issue blends mysticism, mythology, and time travel, deepening the series’ exploration of identity, legacy, and the elemental forces that shape existence
Condition: The comic is in very fine plus condition. The only noticeable flaw is a very slight roll on the very edge of the spine (see photos).
