Product Description
1960's Texaco Fire Chief Gasoline plastic gas pump coin bank toy made by H-G Toys of East Rockaway N.Y. The toy is 11 inches high x 5.5 inches wide x 4 inches deep.
The bank has a coin slot on the back near the top where coins can be inserted (farther down on the back is a round circle that says "cut to open" where presumably the coins could be removed).
The toy has a movable green hose. The white lever on the side is dual purpose: turning it changes the number of gallons shown on the display on the front, and turning it also rings the silver bell on the side.
The 89 cents number stamped on the bottom is the original price back in the 60's.
The gas pump is in overall good condition for its near 60 year age. The bell on the side is tarnished. The red plastic has a few light scuffs. There is a small spot on the top label (near the pump 's "total sale" display). There is a small tear on the lower label (between the letters I and R in the word "Fire"). The nozzle is missing from the end of the green hose. See photos.
