Vintage 10-strike matchbook cover (no matches) from the 1960's advertising the western themed The Frontier restaurant which was located at 24 F St N.W. in Washington D.C.
The building at 24 F St and a couple of other small nearby buildings were demolished during the late 1970's/early 1980's. Today the 20 F St NW Conference Center office building, built in 2010, occupies the space.
The front cover of the matchbook has the restaurant's name and lasso logo. The strike side has the address and phone number. The inside of the matchbook has the hours for the "Businessman's Luncheon" and "Dinner", and says "Sandwiches and Salads Anytime"
The matchbook cover is in very good condition. It is empty and there are no matches, and the strike pad appears to be unused. (see photos).
