Synopsis: The MAD Sampler is the 18th book in the classic series of MAD paperback collections, published by Signet in 1965. Rather than following a single storyline, it is a broad selection of MAD's irreverent comic satire, bringing together parodies and gag pieces from the magazine. The collection pokes fun at everything from television, automobiles, tourism and advertising to history, politics, parents and everyday annoyances.

Among the highlights are Don Martin's absurd cartoons, Antonio Prohías's Spy vs. Spy, Al Jaffee's humor, and pieces such as "The European Tourist's Guide to the U.S.," "The Mad Shakespeare Primer," "The Two Faces of World War II," and "Mad's Comprehensive Small Irritation Insurance." With artwork by MAD regulars including George Woodbridge, Wally Wood, Joe Orlando, Mort Drucker, Bob Clarke and Paul Coker Jr., the book captures the anarchic, anything-goes style of mid-1960s MAD.

Condition: The book is in very good condition. The covers have some light wear on the edges and corner tips.  The binding and spine are in excellent condition. The inside pages have some light yellowing due to age but otherwise are in excellent condition. See photos.
