Vintage promotional matchbox from the late 1970's advertising The Park Plaza Hotel at 155 Temple Street in New Haven Connecticut.
Printed on the front of the matchbook is The Park Plaza logo and phone number. The back of the matchbook has the hotel name, full address, and telephone number.
The matchbook is in very good condition. All matches are intact and the "strike pad" is unstruck (see photos).
The 19-story (Sheraton) Park Plaza, was located on the New Haven Green and within walking distance of Yale University, and it opened in 1966 and closed in 1993. Omni Hotels bought the building in 1998 and renamed it the Omni New Haven Hotel at Yale.
