Plot summary: The 1977 The Rescuers, published by Walt Disney Productions and Random House as part of the Disney's Wonderful World of Reading series, is a children's adaptation of Disney's animated feature film of the same year. The story follows two courageous mice, Bernard and the elegant Miss Bianca, members of the international Rescue Aid Society, after they discover a desperate message from Penny, a lonely orphan girl who has been kidnapped. Determined to help, the tiny heroes travel to the eerie Devil's Bayou, where the greedy Madame Medusa is forcing Penny to search for the legendary Devil's Eye diamond. Condition: The book is in overall very good to excellent condition. There is a name written on the inside of the front cover but the inside pages are in excellent condition with no writing, marks, or creases. The spine and binding are in very good condition (see photos).
