Synopsis: “The Saga of Sweet Basil” by Ray Broekel is a children’s story about a bird named Sweet Basil who embarks on an adventure in search of a nest. The tale begins when three eggs are unexpectedly thrown into Sweet Basil’s lap. Driven by the hatching instinct, he sets out to find an appropriate nest. Along the way, he encounters other characters like Big Gorilla and explores an Empty Nest Map and decides to become a teacher to teach the young hatchlings.

The book is in overall very good to very good plus condition but the dust jacket is in good condition. 

• The book's spine, binding, covers, and interior pages are in very good to very good plus condition with no noticeable problems.
• The paper dust jacket is in good condition with a small 1 inch tear on the front near the top and some light wear on the jacket's spine (see photos).
