The Trib was a very short lived New York City tabloid newspaper which published its first issue on January 9, 1978 and ceased publication after just 62 issues on April 6, 1978.  It was the first new NYC morning newspaper since 1978.  A failure to gain paid subscribers (under 50,000) and lack of advertisers, combined with a costly trademark infringement lawsuit from the International Herald Tribune all contributed to its demise.

Condition: The newspaper's pages are yellowed from age, and it has considerable wear along the edges and there is an approximately 1 inch triangle shaped piece missing on one of the bottom corner edges.  The newspaper has been stored folded for a half a century so it will ship folded (see photos below).
