Vintage promotional wooden safety matches matchbox from the early 1990's for Trattoria il Bambino Italian restaurant and sidewalk cafe which was located at 94 University Place at the corner of 12th St in Greenwich Village, Manhattan, New York City.
The matchbook has the restaurant name and logo with the words "restaurant, sidewalk cafe, lunch, dinner" on the top side. The bottom side has the address and "Italian cuisine - fresh sea food daily - cocktails". The reservation phone number is on the side.
The matchbox is in very good condition. The strike pad has very light usage (see photos).
The restaurant opened in 1991 and closed sometime in the 2000's. The space is now occupied by a Mexican restaurant.
