Product description

World War II era United States War Savings Bonds Stamp Album, printed in 1942 by the U.S. Government Printing Office. The booklet contains one 10 cent US War Savings stamp, and has spaces to add a total of 187 stamps.

From the booklet's inside: "This is your 10-cent War Savings Stamp Album. Fill it with 187 10-cent stamps, add 5 cents in coin, and it will have a value of $18.75. Exchange it at the Post Office for a War Savings Bond which, after 10 years, will be worth $25".

A fascinating artifact of American wartime finance and patriotic savings campaigns. This booklet represents a direct call to civilian participation in the war effort—citizens could systematically accumulate stamps to fund government bonds, turning everyday savings into tangible support for the nation. The modest 10-cent denomination made participation accessible to families and children alike.

Condition: Very good. The booklet shows its age gracefully with the original owner's name inscribed on the front cover. Size: 6 1/4" × 3" (159mm × 76mm). A compelling piece of WWII Americana for serious collectors of wartime memorabilia, postal history, and mid-20th century Americana.
