World War II era, circa 1943-1945, "Welcome Aboard" brochure and guide for naval recruits arriving at the U.S. Naval Receiving Station on Treasure Island in San Francisco harbor.  11 printed pages, 10.5" x 8" (267mm x 203mm).

The booklet was given out to new arrivals at the Treasure Island receiving station and includes a welcome message, processing procedures for arrivals, info on leave, liberty, special pay requests, uniform regulations, legal assistance, physical and dental exams, transportation of dependents and household goods overseas, medical care, church services, restaurants, barber shops, laundry facilities, recreation facilities, and more.

The booklet also has a complete list of buildings  on Treasure Island, and a two-page map showing the location of barracks, administrative hubs, mess halls, docks, and other buildings. Incoming personnel would use this map to navigate the massive station to find Building 218, the barracks, and the various processing offices mentioned in the booklet.

Condition: Very good with a few light smudges and marks on the covers. The inside pages are in excellent condition.(see photos).
