Antique postcard from 1917 showing a view of the town of Leyburn from the Leyland Shawl escarpment where legend has it Mary Queen of Scots dropped her shawl (hence the name).

Published in 1917 by F. Frith & Co. Ltd, Reigate.  Frith's Series no. 63437.

The card is used but not stamped.   It is in very good condition with minor yellowing due to age (see photos).
