“Walt Disney’s Uncle Remus” is based on the collection of African-American folktales compiled by Joel Chandler Harris. Stories in this book include 'Brer Fox an de Rabbit Trap', 'De Tar Baby', and 'Brer Rabbit's Laffin' Place'. The stories are narrated by Uncle Remus, a kindly former slave who shares these tales with a group of children. The central character in these stories is Br’er Rabbit, a clever trickster who often outsmarts his adversaries and avoids being captured or harmed by predators like Br'er Fox and Br'er Bear. Through his quick wit and trickery, Br'er Rabbit teaches valuable lessons about perseverance, resourcefulness, and the importance of thinking outside the box.
The book's covers are in overall good condition. The front cover has some light wear on the corners. The back cover has a 1 1/2" spot of damage on the left side (see photos). The inside pages are in very good condition and have some very light yellowing due to age. (see photos)
