Synopsis: Wee Pals by Morrie Turner is a collection of humorous comic strips featuring the adventures, conversations, and everyday mischief of a diverse group of children known as the Rainbow Gang. Through playful banter, schoolroom antics, family situations, and interactions with friends and adults, the youngsters explore the joys and challenges of growing up. Turner’s lively cartoons capture the personalities of the gang while offering plenty of wit and gentle social commentary.
First syndicated in 1965, Wee Pals was created as an integrated comic strip celebrating friendship and understanding among children of different racial and ethnic backgrounds. This 1969 Signet Books paperback brings together Turner’s entertaining observations on childhood, community, and the changing world, making it an enjoyable collection for readers of all ages. The book also includes an introduction by Peanuts creator Charles M. Schulz.
