1910's white border black and white postcard showing the Pillar Room (Pfeiler-Saal) in the Weinhaus Rheingold restaurant (Wine House restaurant) at Potsdamer Platz in Berlin Germany.

The postcard is unused and has minor yellowing from age, and there are marks on the back side from where the card was affixed to a postcard album. (see photos).

The Weinhaus Rheingold was built in 1907 and had a capacity of 4000 guests in its 14 luxurious halls.  The ground floor Pillar Hall was the largest hall.  The building was heavily damaged by an airstrike in World War II and it was demolished in the early 1950's.
