Product Description

What Makes My Cart Purr? ,written by Ann Tompert, illustrated by Elfreda.   Copyright 1965, published by Whitman Publishing, Racine Wisconsin, and printed in the U.S.A..   Hardcover book, 6 1/2" x 5 3/4" (165mm x 146mm) , 28 printed pages.  The book is from the Tell-A-Tale Books children's book series.

Synopsis: What Makes My Cat Purr? is a simple, sweet short story centered around two siblings and their beloved tabby kittens — one grey, one orange. The narrative explores the many little things that might make their kitties purr, from warm milk to gentle strokes and playful surroundings. It’s a tender and whimsical reflection on the small joys of caring for and observing the everyday behaviors of a cat

Written in a gentle, conversational tone and richly illustrated, the book invites young readers to consider what brings a cat contentment—and perhaps recognize the purrs in their own pets.

Condition: The book’s binding is intact but shows wear at the staples. The pages are held to the spine by two staples, and the paper around both staples has begun to tear, making the pages at risk of loosening from the binding (see photos #3 and #4).

The covers are in very good condition with some very light wear on the corner tips (see photos).  The inside pages are in very good condition with no writing or creases.
