Product Description

Antique postcard from 1926, printed in Germany, showing the Wiesbaden Theatre. The postcard has three cancelled Deutsches Reich (German Reich) Imperial Eagle (Reichsadler) 5pf phennig stamps on the back.

The Baroque Revival Style Hessisches Staatstheater Wiesbaden (Wiesbaden Theatre) was built in 1894.  The theatre was severely damaged when it was bombed in 1945 during World War II.  It was rebuilt after the war.

Condition: The postcard is used, stamped, and postmarked 1926. The card has some damage: it has a 1/2" vertical tear near the center of the bottom edge, and some postal cancellation marks on the front (see photos).
