Product Description

Antique undivided back era postcard made by Raphael Tuck in 1905 showing the post office in Worcester Massachusetts alongside a bustling street scene with a horse and buggy and pedestrians.

The Romanesque Revival style post office building was built in 1897 and was located on Main St. near Southbridge St. It was demolished in the early 1930's and replaced by what is now the Harold Donahue Federal Building.

The card is from the Raphael Tuck & Sons' Post Card Series No. 1057 "Worcester Mass". The back of the card bears the inscription "Art Publishers To Their Majesties The King And Queen". Printed in Great Britain in 1905, this card exemplifies early 20th-century postcard artistry and offers a valuable glimpse into historical urban life.

The heavy cardstock postcard is unused and in excellent condition.
