Vintage 10-strike matchbook cover (no matches) from the 1950's advertising The Yacht Hotel and its Shell Bar restaurant/bar in Port Isabel, Texas.
The Yacht Hotel was a former speakeasy, hotel, and restaurant on the Port Isabel waterfront that was built in 1926 and demolished in 2018.
The front cover of the matchbook has the hotel name, city/state, and the old style phone number. The strike side says "Home of the Shell Bar".
The inside of the matchbook is blank.
The matchbook is a ten-strike matchbook made in the USA by Match Corp. of America, Chicago.
The matchbook cover is empty and there are no matches, the strike pad appears to be unused. The matchbook cover is in overall very good condition (see photos).
